The DhammaTime Community

The DhammaTime Community is a virtual home for anyone interested in rational and pragmatic spirituality.

What we are about

You know you are in the right place if you feel that spiritual practice is worthwhile, and you wish you had friends with whom to share this path, but the spiritual people you have met so far believed in weird, irrational things and/or seemed stuck in complicated conceptual systems. The DhammaTime community is all about finding the most direct path from suffering to happiness, from dreaming to awakening, from ignorance to enlightenment. We help each other transcend the human condition without ever once believing in anything supernatural or scientifically unsound.

If that sounds good to you, come join us! Get real answers to your spiritual questions, i.e. answers that hold up to common sense and scientific scrutiny! Find inspiration for your meditation practice! Learn from the community and share your own insights! Make new friends all over the world! Be part of something great at the very frontier of cultural evolution!

We communicate using the best tools current technology has to offer. We exchange information and consolidate our collective knowledge on a modern online forum. We also have a chat system for instant live communication. And if you wish to start a video conference, e.g. for a group meditation, it’s literally just a click away.

Your contribution matters

As you are probably aware, it costs money, time and energy to maintain a project like DhammaTime. We don’t have a sponsor, and we are too small to rely on donations or ad revenue. So instead we ask directly and openly that each member pay a monthly contribution. The DhammaTime community is currently (May 2019) tiny in size, so your contribution is not just a drop in the ocean, but very much needed to pay for staff and expenses. Hopefully, with your help, the community will grow and flourish.

How much you pay is largely up to you. Simply pay what feels right. You can change your contribution or cancel your subscription altogether at any time. And in case DhammaTime doesn’t live up to your expectations, simply request a refund within your first month and you’ll get your money back.

A note on supported payment methods: For monthly billing cycles we currently support payments via credit card and SEPA direct debit. If you have neither a credit card nor a European bank account, select yearly billing for more payment options, including direct bank transfer from anywhere in the world.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask Markus.
